Buy Me Some Peanuts

Looking for some family fun?  The Peoria Chiefs home opener is today at 6:30 pm..   It is the Chiefs 30th anniversary so tickets are at 'throwback' prices.  Tickets are $3.50 for club box seats and $2.50 for the lawn.  Some concessions will also have 'throwback' prices.  Close, fun and affordable...a great combination for families.  The Chiefs have games on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Those games will also have the 'throwback' prices.  For schedule and more info---http://peoria.chiefs.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t443

National Library Week is April 8-14.   Don't have a library card?  Go get one!  In our area, you are able to use your  library card at a network of Illinois library systems.  On Thursday,  Mike Anderson will be at the library located in Five Points in Washington for some fun FREE family entertainment.  Performance begins at 6:30 p.m.

The movie "Cats and Dogs"  will be at the Willow Knolls Theater this Saturday, April 14th.  FREE...an old movie (2001) but something fun about seeing movies in a theater on the big screen.

On Saturday, May 5th,  you can spend a day with  herpetologist, Doug Holmes from the zoo. If your child likes things that slither and crawl, this is right up their alley.   You will find reptiles and amphibians on your hike, learn about eating habits and more.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  The program is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or $20 per family.   For more information on this class and the Sun Foundation--- http://sunfoundation.org/wordpress/

Get out and have some fun with your child!
