 During the summer, I spend a lot of time stopping by garage sales for unknown treasures for our classroom.  I recently stopped by a sale in the basement of Alecia Marshall.  You can read the story of her son, Kyler, on her Facebook page...https://www.facebook.com/KylerKoats  Alecia's goal is make a difference in the lives of special needs children and their families.  She was hosting a rummage sale to raise funds for the fleece needed to sew these unique coats.  I was the only person in her basement and after hearing her story wanted to share.  After fundraising for our Happy Feet project, I know the families in our area are very generous.  Alecia also has a gofundme account where you can donate...http://www.gofundme.com/KylerKoats   Please share through your social media to help Alecia raise the funds needed to support this worthy cause.

Once Upon a Time...30 years ago

He helps wash milk caps, milk jugs, soda bottles, salsa jars and juice bottles.  He remembers to save cereal boxes and brown paper bags.  Colored rice or pasta on the kitchen table, broken crayons into new crayons and all the craziness that makes the MCP program great---I couldn't do it without this guy! 

Gone Fishin'

The Fourth of July is over. We are half way through the month of July and school supplies are replacing the colorful summer products on store shelves.  As you start to create your school supply list, make sure you are enjoying the final days of summer with your child.  Nothing to do?  How about go fishing?  It's easy.  Get a group together and set a date.
