Good-bye, October
There was a lot to do in our classroom in October! Our MWF friends worked really hard tracing, coloring and cutting to create a spooky night!
There's more!
Push pins and a pumpkin are a fun way to practice patterns.
A sweet way to work on our math skills...
Mini Monsters fill the garden bulletin board.
How to---

When we use letters, shapes and numbers we can learn how to draw. Our MWF classes learned how to draw a ghost, a spider, an owl and a witch.

Witch's Stew 2018
It's Fun Food Friday and we made witch's stew. The children giggle, laugh and scream and it's a whole lot of fun. We have large bowl and I call for spider web balls (popcorn), spider legs (pretzels) and more. We add the ingredients to the bowl and sing our song. It's an easy Halloween snack.

Here's the recipe---

My Sunflower
First we learned how to sketch a sunflower on paper.

Ready for the MCP Art Gallery!
Last week, we sketched a sunflower on a canvas and today we painted. First the center gets some brown paint.
Next we paint the petals yellow.
A pretty blue fills in all the white spots. We are remembering to clean our brushes and know the big brushes are best for big spaces and little brushes work well in tiny spaces.

The Storytellers Creed

The Storytellers Creed
I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
That dreams are more powerful than facts.
That hope always triumphs over experience.
That laughter is the only cure for grief.
And I believe that love is stronger than death.
-Robert Fulghum

We love to have the children create stories at MCP. We will first 'write' a tale about Halloween. For more info---
