Mommy's Little Monkey

Valentine's Day is about a month away.  Looking for a fun Valentine for your class or child to create?  We made these Valentine's last year for the children to give to their parents.  The year before we made owls which were adorable http://metamoracommunityprek.blogspot.com/2013/02/whoooo-loves-you.html

The hearts were all pre-cut for the the children to assemble.  We glued the light brown face onto the dark brown head, added the ears, light brown mouth and black eyes.  After the monkey dried, teachers drew on the nostrils and mouth.

We added a label to the back and the children signed their name.

You could probably make this on a smaller scale with fun foam, googly eyes and glue a magnet on the back.  Whatever you choose, have some fun creating Valentine cards with your child!
