Me and My Monster

Our TTh class has been having BIG fun with monsters. Our focus during this unit is what is real and what is pretend.  We read Go Away, Big Green Monster by Ed Emberley on Tuesday.

We went to the tables and created our own Big Green Monster.  The children snipped his purple hair and followed teacher directions to make their monster.  Every time the children create a craft they are learning to listen and follow teacher directions.

Monster games are in the Discovery Center!

Today we wrote our own story.  Our monster is big and purple with orange curly hair. This story will be typed up and in your child's backpack on Tuesday.  As we send stories home, you might want to purchase some page protectors and 3 ring notebook in the office supply section.  These stories are good 'reading' practice for your child.  Check out past stories and reports on our parent library cart.

Today we painted the children's hands and we will be finishing those little monsters on Tuesday.  How to's and more information---
