Today Was Egg-citing!

Today our TTh friends learned that an egg is really strong.  I had a  large stack of I SPY books (the large hardback books) and 'handed' them to the children to see how heavy they were.  Too heavy!  I put out the egg carton and asked if they thought one book would break the eggs. Two?  Three? We kept stacking and counting the books and when we reached thirty books, we heard it.  Crack....just one egg!  Why are eggs strong? The shape!

This is an easy experiment you can do at home. Four eggs, some books (try to keep similar size) and some science fun  for you and your child!
