Masterpiece Monday---Piet Mondrian

Our artists is Piet Mondrian.  Mondrian is famous for his bold black lines and primary colors.  As we looked at his work, we can see that he used the primary colors for the rectangles and squares.  He also left a lot of white on his artwork.

Because the children are not Piet Mondrian and creating their own work, we told them to choose a color they like for the lines (just one color).  After using a ruler or drawing lines, the children chose three colors to fill in their spaces.
