Finger Painting

We are finger painting this week at our easel.  Primary colors (red, blue, yellow) are placed in an egg tray for easy cleanup.  After several children use the paints, the colors blend into some beautiful work.

We ask the children to use only one hand and to help with this we keep one arm inside the art smock. Paper towels are kept close to wipe off colorful fingers and then hand-washing.

I loved these two pieces the children created.  There is so much you can do with your child's artwork.  Check out ideas on this past post---http://metamoracommunityprek.blogspot.com/2014/09/the-family-art-gallery.html
