Witch's Stew 2021

An MCP favorite!  Witch's stew and Halloween gives us an opportunity to talk about what is real and what is pretend.  Some silly fun without being scary for our little ones!

Jack-o-lantern Jars

Over the years, we have made hundreds of these jack-o-lantern jars with our little ones. These jack-o-lanterns are inexpensive and easy which is an ideal combination for a preschool project.  Whether it's your first child at MCP or your last, it brings us great joy when we hear that they are displayed in your home for Halloween!

The Cat's Meow

At MCP, we work a lot on listening and following teacher directions. When we create crafts with students, they need to watch the teacher, listen and follow directions.  The result is a cute Halloween craft.

Halloween Night

Our MWF preK students traced, colored and cut pumpkins, ghosts and more to create a spooky night!

The garden bulletin board is filled with mini-monsters!

The TTh 3 y/o class created a big pink monster!  GO AWAY BIG PINK MONSTER!
Have some Halloween fun with your child!

Hocus Pocus

We use two green strips for legs. Children create a pattern on the legs. We glue on boots and a skirt and 'hocus pocus', we're done!

Pounding & Push Pins & Pumpkins

We have a lot of fun with pumpkins during center time.  Our TTh 3 y/o class uses safety goggles, a toy hammer and golf tees for some pumpkin pounding.

Push Pin Pumpkins for our MWF preK classes!  A pattern is started and the child receives five pins to continue the pattern.  Easy breezy fun for home!

Halloween Cats

Listening and following teacher directions is a very important school skill. When we create crafts, students need to watch their teacher and listen. We cut a black circle in half to make a cute Halloween cat.
