More Kandinsky
We have several students who really like working on large group projects. We provided a large piece of cardboard and students painted with bright colors.
We gave them black paint...
Our current large group project is concentric circles. We will post when it's finished.

Where the Wild Things Are
Last week our TTh 3 y/o class had fun being wild things. We added paint sticks from our local hardware store to create puppets!
We rolled terrible roars, gnashed our teeth and rolled our eyes! We were WILD!
We used scissors to snip our wild thing to make him fuzzy!

It's the Purr-fect Valanetine's Card
With Valentine's Day one month away, it is time to start planning for your Valentine cards. It has been our tradition at MCP for several years now to create an animal with heart shapes. They turn out super cute and last year was no exception (we keep the current card a secret so Mom and Dad will be surprised).
We love it when families clean out closets and donate scrap-booking paper. We created a cat, a label and had the children sign the back of the card. Teachers added details after the glue dried with black marker. After Valentine's Day, put these cards with your holiday decorations and it will provide you heart warming smiles for many years.
Need more ideas? We have also created an owl, a monkey and a lion.

Masterpiece Monday---More Kandinksy
Today we are going to do our final project inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. During center time, we have had tempera paint at our easel with large sheets of paper. The children painted the paper and the next class period added lines and circles.
Add black circles and lines...
Finished work...
Today we will be working with concentric circles.

Dinosaurs 2016
We are so thankful our friend, B, wanted to share her dinosaur fossils with our preschool class! We looked at the casting of a T-Rex tooth.
Looked at a small slice of a dinosaur bone...
Learned about mosasaurus and saw a tooth fossil...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosasaurus
and the best! Coprolites! They look like a rock and feel like a rock. They are fossilized???
We also 'measured' the length of dinosaurs in the Fellowship Hall. Ask your child about dinosaurs!
