Easter Has Us Hopping

There are so many fun things to choose to do during center time!  What has your child been doing?

We need to fill our Easter basket with eggs!  Our TTh classes cut eggs and MWF preK classes have to trace and cut, make a tally mark and press 'the easy button'.

Glue the eggs in the basket, have a teacher check and press 'the easy button.'

These bunnies need their tale!

Match the upper case letter to the lower case letter.

It is egg-citing times at MCP!

All of Our Eggs in One Basket

We provide many opportunities for our preschoolers to use scissors. Our Easter bulletin board was a large blue basket filled with colorful eggs.  How do we do it?

Paper is an expensive item for any school.  We are very fortunate to have had lots of paper donated to our program for our art center and copy paper for weekly newsletters and classroom activities. We also use wallpaper I find at garage sales and thrift stores.  These whole rolls are usually very cheap and if I'm lucky sometimes free!
We use the backside of wallpaper to cover bulletin boards.  We also used the wallpaper for Easter eggs.  Our 3 y/o class had stenciled eggs to cut and then pressed 'the easy button'.  Our preK class had to trace the egg, cut and then press 'the easy button'.  Each student also added a tally mark and we will count the eggs when we return to school.

Easter Activities

What's going on in our classroom? Lots and lots of Easter fun!  We are cutting out Easter eggs.  This activity is in our art center during center time.
The 3's cut out Easter egg shapes.
The 4's have to trace and cut out Easter eggs.
Eggs go in the Easter basket.  It is getting full of beautiful and colorful eggs.

We are also counting eggs.  The 3's are adding eggs to baskets up to the number ten.  The 4's are adding eggs to baskets up to the number twenty.  This activity is on a table during center time.

Children can match the upper case letter to the lower case letter.

We have lots of Easter lacing cards in our Discovery Center, too.
