The Frogs

Learning to identify numbers is a lot of fun with our basket full of frogs.  Students put them in the correct order, a teacher checks and then they can press 'the easy button'.

Every Child a Reader

Today marks the start of Children's Book Week.  It is the 100th anniversary of Children's Book Week.  Celebrate! Read books. Go to the library.  Read some more books.

Fun Food Friday---Cactus Candy

We have been learning about the desert and desert animals.  Today we tasted cactus candy!  Ask your child if they liked it!

We're Wild About Weird Science

So we started with a couple eggs, some water and some vinegar.  The experiment continues.  What will happen when you put an egg in these liquids?  Ask your child about their predictions.  We'll see next week what happens!

The Carrot Seed 2019

Our TTh 3 y/o class had fun with The Carrot Seed  by Ruth Krauss.  This classic children's story shows that one determined little boy can grow one giant carrot.  Children cut out the basic carrot shaped and glued on green leaves.



Want to do more with your child?  Visit local nurseries.  Look at and explore all the plants.  Ask questions.  Is is it a tree, a flower or vegetable?  Enjoy spring with your child and explore seeds and plants.

We Dig Gardening!

Our dramatic play center has students digging in 'dirt' (plastic caps), planting flowers and vegetables for late summer harvest! Our budding botanists will be exploring plants and seeds in the classroom.

The Big Box of Bugs

The 3 Little Pigs Snack Mix

Today we made our Three Little Pigs snack.  It's yummy and easy.  Add straw (1 can potato sticks), sticks (2 bags pretzels sticks---we broke in half for easy eating) and bricks (2 bags chocolate chunks). 

Make up a batch and read The Three Little Pigs with your child!

Easter Has Us Hopping

There are so many fun things to choose to do during center time!  What has your child been doing?



We need to fill our Easter basket with eggs!  Our TTh classes cut eggs and MWF preK classes have to trace and cut, make a tally mark and press 'the easy button'.

Glue the eggs in the basket, have a teacher check and press 'the easy button.'
