Honestly, sometimes the last few weeks of summer feel like a 'Survivor' season but there's not a million dollar prize for surviving the summer with school age children. It's been a long time but I remember. It's hard to block out even after all these years.
We created end of the summer holidays that the boys looked forward to every August. The favorite was a day we called Templeton Day after the gluttonous rat from Charlotte's Web.
There's still time for summer fun with your child. Create a summer bucket list together. Put it on the calendar and do it. Make some memories with your child and years from now they'll remember.
